Join us for Yountville’s annual Art, Sip & Stroll
Enjoy an afternoon of fine wines while strolling through the Public Art Walk in this beautiful town and the eclectic galleries of V Marketplace. Meet Art Walk Artists and the gallery artists, Gail Chandler from Gallery 1870, Betty Jo March from Blue Heron Gallery, Marta Collings from North Bay Gallery and the world famous Guy Buffet from Chloe Gallery.
• Marta Collings who has been painting all her life, professionally for the last 20 years considers herself a "plein air painter" and prefers to paint on location with watercolor. She says her style is impressionism and that she loves the looseness and moods it invokes.
• Betty Jo March has been painting for 40 years. She does occasionally paint with oils, but like Marta prefers working with watercolor and the plein air method. Betty Jo records the nuances of every season in an attempt to show the world the beauty she sees in the valley every day.
• While Gail Chandler has painted in watercolor, she prefers oils. Her style is contemporary realism and her subjects can trigger a giggle from the viewer. Watch Gail, Marta and Betty Jo as they demonstrate their talents.
• French artist Guy Buffet is world famous and his sublime sense of the burlesque is unparalleled and infectious as seen in his iconic paintings of waiters and chefs. Guy will be signing any Guy Buffet art or collectable that you bring in.
Some of the participating wineries are Hall Wines, Beaulieu, Jessup Cellars, Cornerstone Napa Valley, Hope & Grace, Hestan Wine Co., and more! V Marketplace will be hosting Dillon Vineyards on our front lawn and Silver Oak Cellars on our second floor.
While the route will be easily walk-able, the Yountville Trolley will be running all day to transport visitors through town, free of charge. Your $10 donation provides you with a glass and wrist band that allows for all day tasting at participating stops! Tasting bracelets are available for purchase at the Veterans Park, the Yountville Chamber Visitors Center, the Yountville Community Center and in front of the North Block Hotel on the day of the event. All proceeds from this event benefit the arts in Yountville.
